About the job

We are looking for a driven, collaborative, analytical and detailed oriented Ecommerce Business Analyst to join the Powerplay Retail Direct team.

Powerplay Direct helps brands and manufacturers of all sizes properly bring their product to market via the Amazon Seller Central channel. We have success helping large brands with an existing presence on Amazon fix what could be a damaged channel due to issues that can arise from not honoring MAP pricing, non-gated third-party sellers, inefficient listings, and inventory supply issues. We have also had success helping small brands establish a presence on Amazon and utilize it as a platform to launch their products into a well-positioned place in otherwise saturated markets.

As an eCommerce Business Analyst, you will work closely with the sales team, supply chain, finance, and marketing to help plan and execute the business starting from the manufacturer to the consumer. The Powerplay Direct team is responsible for developing and identifying the right product, working collaboratively with our manufacturers and brands to order and fulfill product, monitor and maintain Amazon listings and reviews, and help develop and drive the business KPI, tools and processes. You will get the opportunity to operate an ecommerce supply chain, replenish inventory, analyze information, and develop and communicate recommendations to improve inventory flow and replenishment. As an eCommerce Business Analyst in inventory and operations, you will get the opportunity to quickly impact the business and work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to solve problems, write purchase orders, develop inventory forecasts, and execute the replenishment process.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and the internal team in an organized, detailed and efficient manner to ensure clear visibility to production planning and logistics operations. Maintain product in stock in Amazon fulfillment centers.
  • Develop reporting to track fulfillment variances and execution of KPI to build ordering and fulfillment accountability best practices.
  • Analyze business trends and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and process improvement. Balance inventory investment with consumer demand.
  • Prepare sales & inventory reports for internal and external leaders.
  • Partner with Account Managers to manage inventory flow and replenishment operations
  • Develop and execute marketing communications activities for specified product lines / Brands, involving case management and the coordination and execution of direct marketing activities, including but not limited to ecommerce listing development and optimization, storefront management, enhanced brand content, email and social networking marketing communication venues.
  • Execute and manage split testing (A/B) testing to improve conversion rates by gathering conversion data and strategically testing elements of the product listing to continue to improve converse rates

Applicant Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field and/or 1 years minimum relevant experience
  • Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Vendor Central experience preferred
  • Retail operations experience with forecasting and replenishment preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Ability to effectively communicate across both verbal and written platforms
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possibility of flexible working arrangement

The Account Manager will manage the Amazon Seller/Vendor Central account for our most important direct sales clients. Along with building relationships with clients, this position will be responsible for implementation of innovative brand strategy, search engine optimization, inventory management and brand analytics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage multiple brand accounts by building strong relationships, resolving client issues, and ensuring brand content is up to date on appropriate marketplace.
  • Monitor analytics such as sales, inventory, feedback, and product lines to ensure efficient increase in traffic to landing pages.
  • Maintain ongoing brand plan that aligns with partner objectives, metrics, and performance measures.
  • Ensure brand content is continually updated to improve brand position and growth in sales.
  • Proactively identify, address, and solve customer issues impacting marketplace reviews or experience.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful launch/implementation of brands.
  • Create ad-hoc reports when needed.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Retail, Rep Firm, or Manufacturer preferred
  • Experience with management or set up on Marketplace platforms such as Amazon or Walmart strongly preferred.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerBi or other related databases strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possibility of flexible work arrangement

The Retail Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the operations and sales initiatives of the company. This position must be proactive and efficient in all duties, utilizing excellent communication and time management skills. Daily client management is needed by a candidate that is extremely organized and has exceptional time management. This position will directly support the Target business line.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daily client management ensuring accuracy of purchase orders, shipping time and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with clients and operations teams to create accurate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Management of promotional activity for assigned accounts including implementation, analysis and budget spend.
  • Prepare and analyze business sales results, identifying trends and actionable insights.
  • Communicate daily updates and day to day business needs to internal and external team members.
  • Build strong relationships with retail partners to successfully communicate business needs.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Retail or related industry, preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Target, preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn internal and external retail partner systems.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must be able to commute to our corporate office in downtown Minneapolis, with occasional travel to Mendota Heights.
